Jesus said that we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength; and we are to love or neighbors as we love ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). Our desire is to impact our community and beyond by loving others with the same love God has shown us. At Open Door we are continually looking for opportunities where we can serve those in need and encourage those needing hope.
Whether through collecting food for the needy, serving at different missions, or traveling to other cities or countries to share the love of Jesus, our desire is to be the hands and feet of Christ.
We have the exciting opportunity to send a group to Roatan, Honduras in February of 2010. During this trip we hope to assist local churches, provide clean water by helping to dig a well, and teach children about the love and grace of Jesus.
There are many opportunities to serve. Please let us know how you would like to help. Likewise please feel free to call the church if you are in need of food or shelter.
